Jeannine Alday is currently serving as Chief-of-Staff for Hamilton
County Mayor Claude Ramsey. She has served as Administrator of
Human Services for 20 years with specific responsibility for Parks,
Emergency Services, Corrections, Maintenance, Social Services,
and Development. She also served for nine years in the County
Schools as a classroom teacher and supervisor.
Jeannine has served her community as President
of the Riverbend Festival and the Theatre Centre. She is currently
involved in or has been involved in the following organizations:
Kiwanis Club, Chattanooga Theatre Center, Allied Arts, Sexual
Assault Center, Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association, Tennessee
Riverpark Planning and Design Committee, Greenway Task Force,
National Association of County Administrators, National Association
of Counties Human Services Steering Committee Women’s Leadership
Institute Board and Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Association.
Jeannine was recognized for her outstanding service
to her alma mater, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga,
as a member of The Chancellor’s Roundtable from 1994-1997.
She was voted as 1994 Executive of the Year by the Chattanooga
Chapter of Professional Secretaries International and was named
as a Woman of Distinction in May, 2001.
Jeannine serves on the Church Council at St. Luke
United Methodist Church, chairs the Pastor/Parish Committee and
is a member of the Chattanooga District Board of Trustees for
the United Methodist Church. She and her husband have a daughter
who is a local attorney, a son who owns a public relations firm
in Franklin and four grandchildren.
