Ione
Farrar joined the Community Research Council in 1995. Her
research interests are in the area of community health, community
indicators, and economic development. She was responsible for
the implementation of five community-wide community health studies
using Centers for Disease Control protocol, including three adult
Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Surveys (BRFSS) and two Youth
Risk Behavior Surveys (YRBS). In addition, she conducted the 2003
Chattanooga Area Underemployment Survey for the local Chamber
of Commerce.
Prior to joining
the Community Research Council, Ione worked as an Account Executive
and a project manager in the commercial marketing research industry,
as well as a marketing research analyst in the apparel industry.
Ione has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University
of Georgia.
