HEALTH

With changes to TennCare occuring and health care costs rising, health issues are an important part of the discussion about quality of life in Hamilton County. CRC will build on its long history of involvement in analyzing local health data.

CRC and Health

CRC has provided data analysis and support to the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Health Council. This includes three Hamilton County Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Surveys (1995, 1999, and 2004) and two Hamilton County Youth Risk Behavior Surveys (1998 and 2002). Currently, CRC is the evaluation and monitoring partner in Project Access, a $2 million federally funded initiative by the Hamilton County Medical Society to provide health care to the uninsured.

CRC is also examining statewide data to assess the effects of the TennCare cuts throughout the state.
