Jim Hill
works as a management consultant for small businesses and as a
volunteer for non profit organizations at the local, state, regional,
and national levels following a twenty-year career in the U. S.
Army and an additional fifteen years as a corporate executive
and plant manager for the DuPont Company. In the early 90’s
he also served as the President and CEO of the Tennessee Aquarium.
His civic involvement has included service on a bank and a hospital
board, the United Way, the Chamber of Commerce, the area’s
economic development agency, and the local university foundation.
His service to arts organizations has included membership on the
boards of Allied Arts of Chattanooga, the Southeast Center for
the Arts, the regional Southern arts Federation, which he chaired
for four years, and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies.
He has also been a panelist for the National Endowment for the
Arts for almost a decade. Additional, he was appointed to two
terms of office on the Tennessee Arts Commission, one as Chair.
Currently he serves on the following boards:

• The RiverCity Corporation
• The Tennessee Aquarium
• The Community Research Council
Jim Hill holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry
and graduate degrees in chemistry and business administration.
