CRC focuses its analytic and research efforts in five key areas of public policy:


Individual Reports



The State of Chattanooga Region Report is a 360 page analysis of crime, health, education and the economy in Hamilton County. The Report is based on data collected from federal, state and local government agencies, as well as the results of a survey of one thousand residents of Hamilton County.

 


The result of an eleven month project led by the Chattanooga-based Community Research Council (CRC). In addition, faculty members at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Georgia State University also participated in the project. The project was funded by a grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

Choices: A Report on Risky Behaviors Among Hamilton County Teens is based on the national Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Hamilton County YRBSS is designed to survey personal behaviors amongst Hamilton County youth and how those choices relate to health.

 


Based on the national Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Hamilton County BRFSS is designed to survey personal behaviors and how they relate to health.
